DIR QI WANG
1987年出生于北京,成长于东京,12岁时赴英国学习。毕业于伦敦艺术学院电影艺术系。在英国期间拍摄了短片、纪录片、音乐电视。在最后一年大学生涯里观看了大岛渚与贾樟柯的电影后决心要制作社会题材的电影。2010年他制作了短片《失落的太阳》,讲述了非法移民在英国的真实生活。回到上海后,在商业电影《宅男总动员》中担任副导演。之后制作了第二部个人短片《操场》(2011年)入围62届柏林电影节Generation Kplus单元。
Born in 1987 in Beijing, raised in Tokyo until the age of 12 and since then studied and lived in the UK. Studied Film &Video in London College of Communication. During his time in the UK, he worked in different projects ranging from music videos, shorts and documentaries. It was in his final year at college where he watched films from directors such as Oshima and Jia Zhangke, his desire to make films dedicated to social issues emerged. Through his first short film The Lost Sun 2010 based on the true story of illegal immigrants from Fujian, he realized his true ambition was to work in his native country China. Since graduating, he returned to Shanghai, and worked as DA for feature film Mr.Zhai 2010, and directed his second short film CAOCHANG 2011 which was selected for the 62nd Berlinale Generation Kplus Section.
